Alan Corkish was born in the the Isle of Man but now lives in Bootle, Liverpool. He started life as a stone-mason but his subsequent jobs included deck hand on a whaling ship and working as a turnip docker??? Alan is now a writer and poet. His book "A to Z of Education" has received excellent reviews and he has also contributed to "The Liver Bards" an anthology of poetry,
