Tom Slemen
A regular contributor to the Liverpool Echo, Daily Post and Prediction Magazine amongst others, Tom Slemen achieved popularity in 1992 with his radio documentary about Nostradamus.  “The Man Who Saw Tomorrow” attracted a record number of listeners when it was broadcast on Montreal radio.
Following a number of magazine articles both at home and abroad, Tom had his first book published in 1994.  “Murder on Merseyside” was extremely successful and gave accounts of many murders and murderers on Merseyside (as the title suggests).
After a superhuman research effort fuelled by a childhood fascination both in the supernatural and his childhood home of Liverpool, Tom’s second book, “Haunted Liverpool” hit the shelves.  An even bigger success than the first, Tom had spent hours looking at microfilm in the city’s Central Library and interviewed hundreds of people with stories to tell and information to give.  Published in 1995, the book had to be reprinted twice to cope with demand.
Following the success of Haunted Liverpool, Tom was invited onto a local radio station, Magic 1548, to talk about ghosts and the supernatural.  The show was a hit with the public and Tom went on to guest on the shoe for 18 months.  Many of the conversations on the radio were documented and formed the basis of Tom’s next book – “Haunted Liverpool 2” in 1996.
In 1997, a collaboration with radio presenter Terry Lennaine resulted in a 90 minute tape called The Other Side of Midnight.  The tape features 18 chilling ghost stories with a gothic theme.  More recently, “Strange but True”, Tom’s book about mysteries surrounding strange people has been published and is selling well not only in Britain but also in the USA and Europe.
Tom’s most recent book “Haunted Cheshire” again follows his interest in the paranormal but this time our author has researched farther a field and covered the Cheshire area.
